How Much GlowTrax Do You Need? A Sizing Guide for Every Govee Kit

Before you order GlowTrax, it helps to know exactly how much track your roofline needs. Ordering too little means a gap in coverage. Ordering too much is money left on the table. Here's a simple way to figure it out.

Step 1: Measure Your Roofline

Walk the perimeter you want lit and measure the total linear footage along the eave. Most homeowners light the front facing sides only, though some run the full perimeter. If you already own Govee lights, the length of your light kit is a good starting reference, since your track should match or slightly exceed that length.

Step 2: Match Your Govee Model to the Right Track

Check your Govee model number before ordering.

• H705A, H705D, H705E, H705F (original Govee, Govee 2, and Govee Elite) need GlowTrax Classic.
• H706A, H706B, H706C (Govee Pro) need GlowTrax Pro.

Note that the Govee Elite sold at Costco and Sam's Club is the same product as Govee 2 under a different name, so it uses the same track.

Step 3: Account for Corners and Peaks

Every corner or peak in your roofline needs a hinge or a 90 degree angle piece to keep the track aligned. Each GlowTrax kit includes 2 hinges and 2 ninety degree angle pieces as standard. If your home has more than two corners in the run you're lighting, order additional hinges or angle pieces separately rather than assuming the standard count will stretch to cover it.
